Understanding Valorant's Map Pool
Valorant currently features 13 standard competitive maps in 2026. The active Valorant map rotation has 7 maps: Ascent, Split, Abyss, Lotus, Sunset, Haven, and Summit. The other 6 maps are temporarily out of rotation while Riot Games adjusts the map pool across competitive seasons.
Most maps follow a two-site layout (A/B Sites) with a three-lane structure connecting attackers to both bomb sites through a central mid area. Three-site maps like Haven and Lotus add a C site, spreading defensive resources thinner and rewarding creative rotations and fakes.
What Makes Each Map Different
Beyond layout, each map introduces unique mechanics that shape gameplay. Bind has one-way teleporters for instant rotations. Lotus features rotating doors that open and close new pathways. Abyss removes outer barriers entirely, adding the risk of falling off the map. Corrode introduces flooded walkways that create noise when enemies move through them.
Each map guide includes an interactive minimap with labeled callouts, attack and defense strategies, best agent picks for the current meta, and organized callout references. Callout knowledge is critical for clear communication with your team, especially in ranked play where coordinating site pushes and rotations wins rounds.
